How do I Delete Global Tags in CRM?

A tag is a piece of information that describes the data or content that it is assigned. Tags are the labels attached to the contacts, Customers, Leads, and opportunities for the purpose of identification. Global tags allow you to see tags in all the Apps. You can also delete those tags using the Delete icon provided near it. You can also remove the tags from the records using a bulk action.
Steps to Delete Global Tags:
- Go to More → Settings → General → Tags.
- Mouse over and click on the Delete icon as shown in the image below:
- A warning popup appears for confirmation, click on the Yes button.
- Now, a tag will be deleted successfully.
- With one click you can delete a tag from all apps and from the global tags list.
Steps to Delete Associated Tags:
- Go to More → Settings → General → Tags.
- Here, I would like to delete the Common tag.
- Click on the Delete icon as shown below.
- You will get the warning pop up, click on the Yes button.
- It is not possible to delete the common tag because it is associated with the customers. You’ll get an Error popup, click Ok.
- Now go to the Home page → Show All. And select all the customers using the check box.
- The Bulk Action button will get activated. Go to Bulk Action → Remove Values → Tags.
- By clicking the tags, Bulk Remove - Tags pop up will appear. Here you can select the Premium tag by using the tag icon dropdown and click on the Remove button.
- Now the Premium tag of all the records will be removed.
- Now go to Settings → General → Tags.
- Click on the Delete icon against the Premium tag.
- Click Yes on the warning pop-up.
- The “premium” tag is deleted successfully.
