How do I Reverse Journals in Ledger App?

Ledger App allows you to reverse journals by sliding the toggle ON in the journal creation page. That is, you can create a journal by reversing the values of debit and credit automatically.
Steps to Reverse Journals in Ledger App
- Log in and access Ledger App from universal navigation menu bar.
- Click on “More (...)” icon and select “Settings” from the app header bar.
- Select “Security” -> “Actions” found in the left navigation panel.
- In the “Actions” dashboard, enable “Journal Reversal” by sliding the toggle On.
- Now, click on “Create” button present in the home page.
- Fill in the required details and slide the toggle ON for “Reverse Journal”.
- On enabling, two options will be displayed:
- On - Enter the reverse date.
- On a predefined reversal day - Select a predefined reversal date from the list.
- For instance: Select “On” option. Enter the required reverse date.
Note: here, Actual Salary is debited with 20,000 and Actual Asset is credited with 20,000. - Click on “Create” button.
- Now, based on the reverse date, a journal will be automatically created as shown:
