How do I Create an Invoice from a Project?

There are two different ways to create an invoice for a project, either from the Invoices App (shown below) or from a specific project.
You can create invoice from project which pre populates all required fields with billing price.

Steps to Create Invoice from Project

  1. Log in and access Invoices App from your universal navigation menu bar.
  2. Click on “Create Invoice” button and choose “From Project” in the drop down from left navigation panel.
  3. Select project or add new project to create invoice
  4. You can choose multiple tasks and click on “Next” button.
  5. If your tasks are not completed, the alert pop up emerges. 
  6. You can complete the tasks by opting “Yes, mark this task as complete” and click on “Next”button.
    • Customer – Name of the customer will be pre populated. 
    • Contact – Select from a predefined list.
    • Sales Rep - Name of an employee will be pre populated. 
    • Invoice number - This is an auto generated or manually entered number to identify invoice. 
    • Invoice Date - Date of Invoicing. 
    • Discount - Either in percentage or fixed. 
    • Payment Term - Select a payment term from predefined list. 
    • PO/WO Number - Number to identify PO. 
    • Template - Select a template from predefined list. 
    • Currency - Select a currency from predefined list. 
    • Notes to Customer - A short description about invoice. 
    • Project details shows project name, description and start date. 
    • Task Name - Name of an employee will be pre populated. 
    • Hours - Hours spent for the task will be pre populated. 
    • Rate - Enter the rate per hour. 
    • Amount - This field is auto calculated from the number of hours spent and rate per hour.
  7. Click on “Add Tasks” to add more tasks.

  8. Click on “Email Invoice” button to send invoice immediately to customer or click on “Save for Later” button to save invoice.
