How do I provide access privilege to my employee for left panel views?

You are allowed to restrict access for your left panel views which is an additional measure introduced for security purpose. This security measure is common for all apps collaboration and left panel views. Follow the below steps to give access to your employees.

Steps to Give Privilege to Employees

  1. Log in and access Customers App from your universal navigation menu bar. 
  2. Click on “More” icon and select Settings located at the app header bar.

  3. Click on “Views” from left navigation panel.

  4. Choose menus you would like to give privilege.

For example:

Here we are giving privilege to menus “To Follow Up” and “By Directory”.

Create Privilege

  1. Click on “Plus” icon to add privilege.

  2. Create a new privilege named “Custom Privilege”

  3. Click on "Create" button .
  4. Choose the “Custom Privilege” for “Follow Up” and “By Directory”.

Create and Assign Role to an Employee

  1. After creating the privilege go to Employees App to create a new role.

  2. Click on “Settings” icon and select “Roles” from left navigation panel.

  3. Click on “Create” button and specify a “Role Name” as “Custom Role”
  4. Choose category as “CRM” and apps as “Customers”

  5. Select “Custom Privilege”. Click on “Create” button to create privilege.

  6. Select an employee you would like to give access to view “To Follow Up” and “By Directory” menus. 
  7. Here we are adding “Custom Role” to an employee “Rossy Mayer”

  8. In employee (Rossy Mayer) login, able to view “My Follow Up” and “By Directory” in left navigation panel of Customers App as shown in the image below:

Note:

  • Employee who doesn’t have the role “Custom Role” can’t able to view “My Follow Up” and “By Directory” in left navigation panel of Customers App as shown in the image below: 
  • Super User has no restriction. 
  • All the privileges created with customers can be seen in Employees App.
