How do I create my views in opportunities app?

 Views are  filtering options used for showing specific records based on a certain criteria. There are a  few default views provided in the Opportunities App found in the left navigation panel. They are:

  • By Queue
  • To Follow Up
  • By Sales Stage
  • By Market
  • By Territory
  • By Tag

Besides these default views, you can also create your own custom views according to your business requirements.

Consider an employee Katie Dustin wants to view the opportunities that are assigned to her with  the criteria  "Closed Won"  in sales stage . Lets go quickly to find our how to create a View.

Steps to Create Custom Views in Opportunities App

  1. Go to Opportunities App.
  2. Click on "More (...)" icon -> "Settings" -> "Customize App".
  3. Now, you can create views, in the following two ways:
    • Click on "+" icon near the "Views" to create a new view.

    • Click on "Views" -> "Create" button present.

  4. In the Create View popup, enter the following details:
    • Title - Enter the title for the view.
    • Description - Enter the description of the view.
    • Privilege - Select the required privilege from the drop down.
    • List Layout - Select the required list layout from the drop down.
    • Display - Slide the toggle ON to make it visible in the left navigation panel.
    • Criteria - Set the criteria as “Assigned To = Katie Dustin” and “Sales Stage = Closed Won”.
  5. Click on “Create”.

  6. The view is now successfully created. You can edit it anytime, by clicking on the “Edit” icon, if needed.
  7. The created view will be displayed on the left navigation panel as shown.
