The Answers App of Apptivo empowers businesses to customize their application. This includes making a particular field mandatory. With the help of the Master Layout option, users can now not only add new fields but also mark them as mandatory.
Steps to make a custom field mandatory
- In the Answers App of Apptivo, select Settings from the App Header.
- Navigate to Customize App → Master Layout from the left navigation panel of the Settings page. The Master Layout will appear.
- Here, choose any custom fields added to your layout. Here, Feature Type.
- Click on it to view the field's Inspector tab. Scroll down to the Mandatory section to mark this field as mandatory.
- Once the Mandatory toggle is enabled, an asterisk (*) symbol appears before the field. This indicates that the field is marked as mandatory.
- Consider creating a new question without adding the value in the field marked as mandatory.
- When you attempt to create this question, you will receive an error message asking you to fill the mandatory field.
- Once all the mandatory fields are filled, you can create a question easily.
