The Export feature allows you to export the contacts to save all your contact information into a spreadsheet. The Contacts app allows you to export contacts in both CSV and XLS format.
CSV format - All the values are separated by commas.
XLS format - An excel sheet in the binary file format that holds all the information.
Here, you can export the contact information in two options.
- All Fields - Displays all the fields present in the Contacts app.
- Current View - Displays only the fields present in the current layout.
Let’s go through the steps to export all the contacts in the Contacts app.
Steps to export contacts in XLS format
- Log in and access the Contacts app from the universal navigation bar.
- Select all the contacts to export.
- Now, click on the Bulk Actions dropdown.
- Select Export → .xls → All Fields from the dropdown.
- Here, you can view all the fields present in the Contacts app in XLS format.
- Click on the Bulk Actions dropdown.
- Select Export → .xls → Current View from the dropdown.
- Here, you can view the fields present in the current layout in XLS format.
Steps to export contacts in CSV format
- Now, click on the Bulk Actions dropdown.
- Select Export → .csv → All Fields from the dropdown.
- Here, you can view all the fields present in the Contacts app in CSV format.
- Click on the Bulk Actions dropdown.
- Select Export → .csv → Current View from the dropdown.
- Here, you can view the fields present in the current layout in CSV format.
