How do I create new expense in Expense reports App?

Apptivo allows you to create a new expense through the Expense Reports App. You can create an expense record individually. You can either create an expense report, and enter multiple expenses at once, or in this case, add a single transaction to be submitted later.

Steps to Create New Expense

  • Login and access the Expense Reports from Universal menu
  • Click on the Create button.

  • Select the New Expense.

  • In the Create Expense Page, fill in the following Mandatory fields.
    • Memo - Enter the information regarding expenses
    • Memo - Enter the information regarding expenses
    • Expense date - Enter the date for any added line items.
    • Amount - Enter the amount spent on the particular expense.

  • By enabling the Billable Toggle, you can make the expense billable.

  • With the Receipt Browse button, you can upload the receipt for the expense.

  • Conversion Rate helps you to get the conversion rate for Multi-currencies and the Actual Amount always will be in base currency. For example,1USD =74.34 INR

  • Then, click on the Create button.

Note: You can’t submit the individually created expense for approval, you have to create an expense report as collectively or individually to submit for approval. And once it is added in the reports it will be automatically removed from the Unreported list.

  • The expense will get created and you can view the created expense under the Expense LogUnreported on the left panel.
