How do I Bulk Update the Cases Records?

The Cases App allows the user to update the cases in bulk, simultaneously. This will be helpful in situations where you need of updating multiple case records. These bulk actions are available in all the list views in the Cases App. They are listed below.

  • Update - This enables you to bulk update the Case Information like Status, Priority, Type, Assigned To, Tags etc. You can also update the Ref App fields.
  • Remove Values - This enables you to remove the Tags in bulk.
  • Export - This enables you to export the cases in bulk.
  • Delete - This enables you to delete the cases in bulk.

For instance: There may arise a situation where you would like to update the value of tags associated with multiple cases that are created. In that case, this Bulk Action feature can be made primary use of, instead of updated the cases one by one.

Steps to Bulk Update the Cases

  1. Login and access to Cases App from Universal Navigation menu bar.
  2. Click on “Show All” from the Left navigation panel.

  3. Select the cases for which you would like to update the tag.
  4. On selecting multiple cases, the “Bulk Action” button gets activated.

  5. Now, click on the “Update” -> “Case Information” -> “Tags”.
  6. The Bulk Actions Tags popup will be displayed, where select the required tag from the drop-down.

  7. Click on “Update”.
  8. You can now see that the tags are updated for those selected cases successfully (For instance: Case 122) as shown below:

Steps to Remove Tags in Bulk

Besides updating the tags in bulk, one can also remove the associated tags in bulk from the cases records. To do so, go through the steps below:

  1. Select the cases for which you would like to remove the tag values.
  2. On selecting multiple cases, the “Bulk Action” button gets activated.

  3. Now, click on the “Remove Values” -> “Tags”.
  4. The Bulk Remove Tags popup will be displayed, where select the required tag from the drop-down.

  5. Click on “Remove”.You can now see that the tags are removed for those selected cases successfully as shown below: (For instance: case 122)
