How to Add News Feed Message to Notes Automatically?

Cases news feed allows a user to create a note automatically in "Notes" tab whenever the news feed message is posted. Also, you can share the message with customer, assignee, and others.

To automate a Note in News feed, you need to first enable " Add News Feed Message in Collaboration in the left navigation bar. Then you need to "Add News feed messages to Notes" Lets take a walk through the steps to understand better.

Steps to Enable a Note in News Feed

  1. Login and access cases app from universal navigation menu bar
  2. Click on "More" icon and select "Settings" option.
  3. Select "Collaboration" option from "General" drop down.
  4. Enable the Toggle button against "Add news feed messages to notes". This allows to create a note automatically when a message is posted in news feed.
  5. Under "Filters" to select the default event type & detail.

To Add Newsfeed messages to Notes:

  1. Select a case for which note to added by clicking on More(...) details.
  2. Navigate to "News Feed" tab from an associated activities menu bar.
  3. Enter the details to be posted on the news feed and click on "Post" button. Also posted message can be shared.
  4. Now in "Notes" tab you can view the created note according to news feed message.
