How do I Allow Users to Email Contact?

Email communication is an integral part of any business. Emails are send out to the dedicated clients, warm prospects and potential customers  to let them know what is happening in your business currently.  Email can be used as leverage for marketing and sales campaigns and also to reach to the massive number of customers and prospects.

Contacts App allows you to provide access to the users who are given the privilege to email a contact. The privileged users can use  the “Email” button and also the email icon found in overview page of an opportunity to send emails.

Lets quickly go over the steps to give access permission to users to send out emails.

Steps to give user permission to email a Contacts

  1. Log in and access Contacts App from your universal navigation menu bar.
  2. Click on “More” icon and select “Settings” located at the app header bar.

  3. Click on “Actions” from "Security" drop down from left navigation panel.

  4. Locate the “Email” option from “Object” section and click on privileges drop down.
  5. Click "Create privilege" option found at the bottom of the privilege drop down.
  6. Create privilege pop up appears.Enter the name and description of the new privilege that you want to add against the “Email” option.

  7. Click on "Create" button. After creating the privilege go to Employees App to give access to particular employees.

  9. Now, employee James William has the privilege to email a contact. In James William login, the “Email” button will be visible as shown in the image below:
