What happens, when user clicks the unsubscribe link?

By default, every email campaign you send must include an unsubscribe link, allowing users to opt-out of the mailing list, anytime they prefer. Once the user clicks on unsubscribe, the “Unsubscribe” will be toggled ON automatically for all the records, including duplicate records across target lists, including leads, customers, employees, and contacts.

When the user clicks the Unsubscribe link

  • Log in and access the Campaigns app from the universal navigation menu bar.
  • Click on the More Details (...), next to the respective campaign.

  • Now, click on the Dashboard tab, to view the communication status of that campaign.

  • The Communication status overview page will display the number of emails sent, delivered, opened, clicked. To view the unsubscribed contacts, click on the “UNSUB” button present.

  • Similarly, the unsubscribe will be enabled in all the other apps as it has the same email ID. Here, Rose Jensen has a converted record in the leads app with the same email ID. Therefore, the Unsubscribe toggle is enabled automatically as shown below.
