How to get notified using Update Notifications?

This feature sends a notification whenever the criteria set are met by the records in the Apptivo Apps. Usually, notifications increase commitments by giving the customers or users an easy way to get updated with actions pertaining to your application.

For Instance: Let us consider Update Notifications in Customers App. An employee wants to send a Welcome message to his customers when criteria (“Sales Rep=Carter Alan”) is met in the Customer Record. For this to happen he must enable the update notifications in the Customer App. Before enabling the update notifications, he will need to create update notifications which will be automatically sent by the system to Customer.

Steps to set up Update Notifications

  1. Log in and access Customers App from your universal navigation menu bar.
  2. Click on “More (...)” icon -> “Settings” -> “Notifications” -> “Update Notification”.

  3. Click on “Create” Button.

  4. Fill in the following information for your Update Notification:
    • Name - Name of the Notification.
    • Description - Description of the Notification.
    • From Address - Email Id of the Sender (Choose Static or Dynamic)
    • Enabled - By default this Toggle will be enabled when creating update notification. Toggle off to disable, if the feature need not be applied.

  5. Fill in the respective information in the following tabs:
    • Criteria - Condition for the Notification
      • Select the Attribute and Fill in the Value of the Attribute

    • Message - Content of the email template
      • Fill in the Subject of the email and message you would like to notify

    • Recipients - List of People to be notified
      • Static List lets you define your own recipients
      • Associated object Report lets you add attributes in the Customer Record as a Recipient

  6. Click on the “Create” Button to create the Notification.
  7. Customer will receive an email notification once the criteria are met.
