How to enable advanced filters while using Associated Object Reports?

Apptivo enables you to use advanced search features while generating Associated Object Reports. You can use operators to filter your records.

For Instance: Let us perform this operation in the Contacts App.

Step 1: Configure Associated Object Report

  • Go to SettingsReportsAssociated Object ReportCreate.

  • In the Create Associated Object Report page, add a name and description of the Report. Along with this, select the associated app from Associated Object. Here, Customers App.

  • Now, to have the feature to filter records using operators like = and <>, enable Advanced filter option.

  • Once the preliminary changes are made, furnish the information for criteria and columns.

Criteria

In the criteria, you can set the condition during which the report has to be generated. Here, the criteria are set to generate a report when Assigned to is Caroline Forbes.

  • You can also set the criteria for the activities in the Report. It is optional.

Columns

Once the criteria are set, switch to the Column page. Here, perform the configuration to display in the report.

You can add the attribute that has to be shown in the Search field.

You can select the attributes from the Contacts App that has to appear in the columns of the report.

  • You can select the attributes from the Customers App that has to appear in the columns of the report.

  • On scrolling down, you can see the Consolidated Selected Attributes.

  • Once the criteria are set, save the report configuration.

Note: If you need information on associated activities, then you can add the attributes to appear in the Columns of the report.

Step 2: Generate Report

Navigate to the Reports section of the Contacts App and select the Basic Information report.

  • Here, select the filter attributes.
  • Since advanced search is enabled, you can set the operators for the attributes.

  • Here, the filter operator is set for a follow-up date greater than 01/01/2020 and a Customer # greater than 10.
  • Click on View Report to generate the report.
