Apptivo’s Master Layout is the common feature that has some business attributes which help to customize the apps as per your business need. Text Attributes are the common text area that can be used to customize the form with additional information. In addition, you can make those attributes mandatory under conditions.
Let's consider, adding the text field from the master layout to get the additional information like the Last name from the customer creation form.
Steps to Follow
- Login and access the Customers App from the Universal Menu.
- Click on the More(...) icon and select Settings.
- Click on the Customize app from the left panel and select Master Layout → Customers.
- Now, you can see the Dashboard on the right side. From the Palette, select the Attribute dropdown.
- From the Attributes Section, click and drag the Text Attribute and drop in the Customer Form.
- Now, Click on the Text Attribute that will navigate to the Inspector tab on the right-side dashboard.
- In the Custom Name, Change the attribute name. Here, it is changed as the Last Name.
- Scroll down in the Inspector tab, you can see the Mandatory Section. With these, you can make the attribute mandatory.
- Slide the Toggle On to Enable the Mandatory.
- Then, you can view the Conditional, slide the Toggle On.you can make the attribute under certain conditions.
- In the Conditions section, let’s make the attribute mandatory only the customer Category Shipping.
Note: If the attributes are mandatory, it will not get a display in the driving attributes. i.e you can't select the mandatory attributes as in conditional mandatory option.
- Select Category in the Driving Attribute.
- And, select Sea Foods in the Driving Value.you can make multiple selections as well.
- You can view the changes in the Customer creation page.
- Once the Customer Category selected as Sea Foods the Last Name will become mandatory.
