The Opportunities App has a dedicated Trash section where all the deleted opportunities are stored. It is for future reference and easy retrieval of deleted information when needed. If an opportunity is not required anymore, you can use the Delete Forever button to remove the opportunity from your account.
When you attempt to Delete Forever an opportunity in the Closed Won stage, you cannot achieve it. This is because the opportunities might have any association with other apps in Apptivo or the Sales Plan Category is Closed Won. However, if you would like to delete the opportunities in the Closed Won stage, follow the steps listed below.
Steps to Delete a Closed Won Opportunity
- In your Opportunities App, consider deleting an opportunity in the Closed Won sales stage.
- You will be redirected to the Trash page of your Opportunities App. You can see the opportunity to be deleted.
- When you want to delete this opportunity completely from your account, select the opportunity and click the Delete Forever button.
- The Opportunity will be moved to the Archived tab. Click on the More Details button of the Closed Won opportunity.
- In the Overview page, change the sales stage of the opportunity from Closed Won to any other stage that does not have the Sales Plan Category as Closed Won.
- Also, if there is any association, please remove the association and save the changes.
- Now, perform the delete process again and delete this opportunity from the Trash section.
- The opportunity will be deleted without any trouble.
- Please note the Sales Plan Category for a Sales Stage is configured from the Settings → Opportunities → Sales Stage. Here, you can customize the Sales Plan Category.
