The Opportunities App of Apptivo allows you to delete your opportunities effortlessly on a single click. However, there are two instances where you will not be able to delete your opportunities.
- When the Opportunity has an association
- When the Sales Stage has Closed Won (Sales Plan Category)
When the Opportunity has an association
When your opportunity has a customer or contact or any association from other applications in Apptivo, you cannot delete the opportunity from your account. Instead, the opportunity will be moved to the Archived section.
- Consider an Opportunity in the Prospecting Sales Stage is deleted.
- It will be moved to the trash section.
- When you select the opportunity and click on the Delete Forever button, the opportunity will be moved to the Archived tab.
- This is because the opportunity is associated with a customer and contact.
When the Sales Stage has Closed Won (Sales Plan Category)
When a Sales Stage has selected the Sales Plan Category as Closed Won, you cannot delete the Opportunity from your account. The Opportunity will be moved to the Archived tab.
- The Sales Plan Category for a Sales Stage is configured from the Settings → Opportunities → Sales Stage. Here, you can customize the Sales Plan Category to be Closed Won. For Instance, in the Value Proposition stage.
- Consider an Opportunity in the Value Proposition Sales Stage is deleted.
- It is moved to the trash section.
- When you select the opportunity and click on the Delete Forever button, the opportunity will be moved to the Archived tab.
- The Sales Plan Category of the Sales Stage, Values Proposition is Closed Won. Hence, you are unable to delete the opportunity completely.
