The Search Privilege is an option available for each field present in the Master Layout. With this, you can set the Privileges on who can search with a particular field while performing an advanced search.
Consider configuring search privilege for the Job Title field in the Contacts App of Apptivo CRM apps.
Steps to configure search privileges
- In the Contacts App of Apptivo, select Settings from the App Header.
- Go to Customize App → Master Layout from the left navigation panel. The Master Layout page will come into view.
- Here, we have selected the Job Title value. Click on it to view the Inspector tab.
- In the Inspector tab, scroll down to Search and select the dropdown for Search Privileges.
- You can either select an existing privilege or create a new privilege by clicking Add New.
- On selecting Add New, the Create Privilege popup will appear. Add a name and description of the privilege.
- On selecting create, a new privilege is created. Save the changes.
Note: You can set the privileges for the employees from the Employees App.
- When an employee has the created privilege, he can perform an advanced search with the values in the Job Title field.
- When an employee does not have the created privilege, he cannot perform search with the values in the Job Title field as the field will not be visible.
