How do I share the documents with the Customer Portal in Apptivo?

Apptivo provides the ability to add customers to specific cases. They can log in to an online portal and view the progress of the case details using their own account. Along with that, you can give access to selective documents for the customers having access to the cases portal as per your business needs.

Steps to Share Document

  • Login and access the Cases app from the universal menu.
  • Go to the Cases Overview page, click on the Documents tab.

  • On the Documents tab, you can view all the list of documents added to the specified case.
  • You can view the Shared With Customer User Portal Toggle.
  • By default, the toggle will be enabled.
  • When the Toggle is enabled, the customer can get access to the document from the Cases portal.

  • When the customer navigates to the selected case from the portal, he can access the shared document from the Documents section of the overview page. He can click on it to download it.
Access Given

  • If you do not want to share the particular document, disable the toggle to restrict the access of the document from the cases portal.
  • Here, the Shared With Customer User Portal toggle is disabled.
Toggle Disabled

  • The customer will not have access to the document through the cases portal.
