The Ref App field of any application enables users to associate data from other apps in Apptivo. With this, users can easily view all the related data in one application. This field is also editable.
Consider editing the value in the Ref App Field of the Opportunities App.
Steps to edit the value
- Go to Settings → Customize App → Master Layout in the Opportunities App.
- Scroll down to the Ref App Field in the Master Layout. Click on it to view the Inspector tab.
- In the Inspector tab, select the Type dropdown in the Custom section. Here, you can select either Default or Reference type.
- When Default is selected, the Ref App Field will not be editable while creating or editing a customer. The value present in the associated app will be recorded automatically.
- When Reference is selected, the Ref App Field will be editable while creating or editing a customer. The value present in the associated app will be recorded automatically here as well but this field can be edited.
- When the value is edited in the Ref App field, it will not reflect in the source application.
