How to customize the customer’s actions in the Work Orders?

The Work Orders App of Apptivo allows you to send the work orders to customers for approval. When the work orders are sent for approval, the customers can approve or reject the work orders. In addition, they can request change and print the work orders in PDF. These actions can be controlled from the Settings page of the Work Orders.

Steps to customize customer’s action

  • In the Work Orders App of Apptivo, select Settings from the App Header.

  • Select Work Orders → Customer Actions from the left navigation panel of the Settings page.
  • The list of actions that can be carried out by customers in a work order is listed.
  • All these actions are enabled by default.

  • To restrict a particular action, disable the toggle of the selected action. For example, Request Change.

  • Once the changes are made, email a copy of the work order for approval to your customer.

  • The customer will receive an email. Here, the customer has to click the link to view the work order.

  • In the Work Order approval page, you can see the Request Change button is not available.
  • But, Approve, Reject, and Print PDF options are present.
