The Call Logs of Apptivo allows you to generate triggers. This includes both Event-based and Time-based triggers. As a response to the trigger, you can update an attribute as an action. Let’s walk through the steps to update an attribute as an action for Event-Based triggers.
Steps to update an attribute as an action
- Go to Settings → Call Logs→ Triggers → Event Based Triggers. In the Event Based trigger page, select Create to create a new trigger.
- In the Create Trigger page, add a name for the trigger. In addition to this, you can also set the event during which the action has to occur. It can be when a call log is created, updated, or deleted. Here, Call Log Created.
- To have the trigger in operation, keep the enabled toggle ON.
- In the Criteria section, determine the condition during which the trigger has to occur.
- Here, the condition is to generate an action when the type is incoming.
- You can make use of the Actions to set the type of trigger. Since an attribute is to be updated, the action chosen is Update Attribute.
- In the Create Trigger Action popup, the attribute to be updated is to change the tag as Essential.
- Once the configuration is complete, select Create. A trigger is configured. Complete creating the trigger.
- Create a new call log with the type as incoming. The tag is automatically added as Essential.
