How to create an event automatically with mapped information in Employees App?

The Triggers feature of Apptivo also allows you to automate your workflow. The Triggers feature of the Employees App enables you to create events automatically. You can also configure to create an event with the mapped fields from the overview page. Click here to map the attributes in the Calendar with the overview page of an employee.
Steps to create events automatically with mapped fields
- The Employees App of Apptivo allows you to configure two types of triggers.
- Event Based
- Time Based
Let's go through the steps to create events with mapped fields automatically using Event-Based Triggers.
- In the Employees App of Apptivo, select Settings from the App Header.
- Navigate to Employees → Triggers → Event Based Triggers. Select create to create a new trigger.
- In the Create Trigger page, add a name for the trigger. To keep it active, enable the toggle. In addition, select the event during which the trigger has to be activated. The event chosen here is when an employee is updated.
- Configure the condition upon which the event has to be created. Here, the criteria selected when the Manager is Empty.
- Select Event → Create From Mapping from the Actions section.
- Once the mapping is selected, the trigger is configured.
- Select create to create a new trigger.
- Go to the overview page of an employee. A trigger will be generated only when the Manager is empty.
- Now, update the record without changing the Manager field as the condition is for the old attribute.
- In the Calendar tab, you can see a new event is added with values based on the mapping.
