How to auto-update the status of Work Order based on eSign actions?

Work Orders app in Apptivo allows you to customize the estimate templates with the eSign attributes. Through that, you can send you estimates for eSigning purposes with the customized attributes as per your preferences. In addition, you can auto-update the status of the work order based on the eSign actions.

Note: Before customizing, you have to enable the eSignature option on Manage Your Accounts page Click here to know the steps to enable it.

Steps to Follow

  • Login and access the Work Orders app from the universal menu.
  • Click on the More(...) icon and select Settings.

  • On the Settings page, click on the Work Orders and select Statuses.
  • From the Statuses page, enable the toggle for Auto change.

  • Here, you can set the status update when the work order is sent for eSigning.
  • When the work order is sent for eSigning, the work order status will be auto-updated to the Submitted status.

  • And when the work order is completed signing, the work order status will be auto-updated to the Completed status.
  • The changes will get auto-updated.

  • Now, go to the Work Order overview page and click on the Send eSign button.

  • Enter the signer’s details on the Send eSign pop-up and click on the Send button.
Popup

  • Once the work order has been sent for eSigning, the status of the work order will get changed to Submitted status as per the configuration.
Sent

  • Then, when the work order is signed and completed by the recipient, the status will be auto-updated to Completed.
Signed

  • You can view the status of the work order has been changed to Completed.
