How do I map contact in a Custom app while importing?

Apptivo’s Custom app allows you to import the data from the Excel document using the imports. It also allows you to map the customers, contacts and assign to fields while importing the data.

Steps to Follow

  • Login and access the Custom created app in your Apptivo account.
  • Here, the Custom app is named Service Contacts.
  • Click on the More(...) icon and select Imports.

  • From the Imports page, click on the Import button.

  • Select the New Import option to import the new CSV file.
  • Browse and choose a CSV file and click on Next.

  • Select the grouping attributes from the dropdown.
  • Map fields to respective CSV fields as shown. Make sure to map the custom mandatory fields.
  • Here map the Customers, Contacts, and Assign To fields.
  • After mapping, all fields as shown and hit the Import button to import records.

  • Click on the Import to Proceed.
  • Click Proceed on each validation process.
Validation Process

  • In the Reference validation, if the sheet has any reference data you will get on the option to create a reference.
  • Click on the Create Reference Values & Proceed.

  • Finally, the page will show the number of #of Records, #deleted records, and #of ignored records and click on Start Import.
Start Import

  • The imports will get started, and you will be notified once the import is complete.
