How to configure a date field to show today's date in the Cases app?

Apptivo’s Master Layout helps you to customize your application's attributes based on your business preferences. Using the Master Layout , you can configure the sections and attributes easily for your application layout.
You can configure the date in two ways:
- Static - Allows you to select the static date for the field.
- Dynamic - Allows you to select the custom system time.
Let’s go through the steps to show today’s date in the Cases app.
Steps to configure
- Log in and access the Cases app from the universal navigation bar.
- Select Settings from the App Header.
- From the Settings page, click on the Customize App → Master Layout from the left navigation panel.
- Drag and drop the “Date” attribute from the Palette panel on the right-hand side.
- Click on the added Date attribute, you will be redirected to the Inspector section.
- You can change the name of the attribute in the Custom Section of Inspector Tab on the right side.
- Here, enter the attribute name as the Current Date.
- Now, enable the Default Value under the Default Behavior section.
- You can view the Static and Dynamic in the Type dropdown.
- If you select Static type, you can set the particular date in the Date Value.
- If you want to view today’s date on the overview page, select Dynamic type so that you can set today’s date.
- Click on the Custom Date button.
- On the Function Editor pop-up, select Today, so that the system date will automatically take the current date.
- Click on the Create button.
- Click on the Save button to save the changes.
- On the Case creation page, you can view the added date field with the current date.
