Not exactly a CRM
Though it is marketed as a CRM tool for SMBs, in reality, it isn't. It is a very basic tools that help you manage your contacts and basic sales need. In the end, you will have to rely on multiple tools to manage your different needs.
"Capsule is a perhaps a little bit 'too simple'. You may soon outgrow it." - Stephen from Stephen Taylor & Associates Ltd.
For the price they're selling at you'd be better off using Apptivo. You get a well-rounded package for the price less than Capsule CRM. You can manage your projects, email campaigns, invoices, customer cases, and more from one single Apptvio login. But with Capsule, you have to rely on different apps for different needs. This will dramatically increase the overall business operation cost.
"The full functionality of other CRMs isn't present..." - Juan Muñoz
In conclusion, Capsule CRM is still new to the market and lacks some of the mandatory features and third-party integrations that any customer would look for in a CRM application. So, if you’re a business using a software already and looking for a CRM solution then Capsule might not be the best options out there.
Whereas Apptivo with its 60+ suite of business apps is seamlessly integrated with G Suite and Office 365 for contact sync, several major payment gateways for online transactions, and more than 200+ applications directly and indirectly via Zapier and PieSync.
Limited Integrations
Customer Retention is arguably the most important part and Third-party integrations are becoming an essential ingredient to attract and retain customers. Businesses are looking for new software that seamlessly integrates with the software that they already use.
Dumping an existing system for a new one might not be a big deal for small businesses but established businesses have a lot to go through. It costs them time and money to get used to the new software. This means if the software doesn’t have the right integrations in place, they are at risk of higher churn and difficulty in acquiring new customers as well.
"No integration with Office 365"
The Capsule is one such CRM solution with only a handful of third-party integrations. With many missing integrations such as Office 365, the simple contact sync between your Capsule and Microsoft account will affect your productivity.
"The reporting is very light with no obvious integration offered and lack of user permissions a deal breaker :-(" - Nicola Cooper, Marketing Consultant

Basic and Minimal Reporting
Unlike Apptvio, Capsule CRM reports aren't robust and lack many of the intuitive and basic features. Capsule CRM is very new and its reporting capabilities are a bit basic in comparison to the options available in Apptivo which has fine-tuned its reporting features with years of customer feedback.
A few customers posted reviews on GetApp saying,
"It would also be nice to have a better search and reporting function. The only things you can search for are the person, organization, case, and note content, so every other bit of information you'd like to search for and compile must be placed as a tag, which gets clunky and disorganized easily."
The Capsule CRM lacks many of the advanced filters and reports that growing and enterprise businesses would need.
Thus, it has minimal use when making critical business decisions and designing strategies.
A customer posted a review online saying,
"There is some sales pipeline reporting, but the options are not as robust as other CRM systems I've used in the past."
Unlike Capsule CRM, Apptivo with its advanced reports and the ability to generate custom reports coupled with user-friendly UI proves to be a better choice.
