Frustrating Customer Support “Given the ‘no refund’ policy and unhelpful support it feels like a con.” Customers paying a premium price might expect the company to support them whenever necessary. In the case of Insightly CRM, the majority of the customers feel that their support isn’t useful or almost non-existence. “Horrible support. poor response time. Failed to handle their own technical issues.” The only way to get in touch with Insightly support is through their forum. There isn’t email, chat, or phone support, and this leads to terrible response time. Customers have a few days to get answers and by the time they do, it’s already too late. Also, logging in to the forum requires you to create an account with a password different from the app. This causes confusion and calls for more work. “No phone number, logging into customer support requires a different password and when you try to create one, it kicks you out for using your same username (email address!!)” Like features and integrations, customers also look for the best support in Software. Great customer support not only keeps the customer happy but also free marketing for any type of business. Confusing User Interface “Really really poor user interface, perhaps the worst ever.” One of the important things people look for in today’s Software is the user interface. The ability to maneuver through screens without any stutter. But, Insightly’s UI seems cluttered trying to add too many functions on one screen and it made things difficult for several customers. “Insightly UI is a little stark And not as engaging as other platforms.” If you’re expecting a user-friendly and modern easy-to-use UI, then users are disappointed with Insightly with its dated and complex UI. The latest update to the UI on February ’18 didn’t do much good either. One user took their frustration online by posting the following review: “The new UI – in places, the views don’t update dynamically and the flow from one screen to the next is sometimes odd.” With so much experience and knowledge, Insightly still couldn’t get it right when it comes to the user interface. You get barred with various limitations that make it harder for you to proceed with your business process. With little or close to no customization options, the UI seems overwhelmingly cluttered with an awful lot of functions and options. “I wish it were easier to customize” Keeping all this in mind, Apptivo CRM offers you a completely customizable software solution. You can customize almost everything and the dashboard is completely customizable to fit individual user needs. 3. Inefficient Reporting “Reporting. Insightly does not offer the greatest range of report customization.” Adding to the complex UI, reporting is again a bit of an issue in Insightly. Insightly CRM lacks some of the most basic filters that people look for in a CRM. Unlike the other competitors, Insightly reports aren’t robust and lack many of the intuitive features. Insightly reporting capabilities are a bit basic in comparison to the options available in Apptivo. “Reporting is weak within the system. I have to export data and manipulate it in Excel spreadsheets to get the reporting that is useful for me.” It is a very intimidating reporting platform to most of the new users and lacks some of the common things you’d expect in CRM reporting. For example, the opportunity report includes the organization name but not the contact name. You’d think that it would be obvious for an opportunity report to have a contact name but it is just not the case. “It’s hard to create proper reports since contacts/opportunities are separate items. There is no one to call to walk you through something if needed.” This proves the inefficiency of the Insightly reporting. Unlike the competitors, Insightly with its complex UI and underpowered reports has become less competitive. 4. Limited Customizations There’s no question that when it comes to scaling your business operations and to keep up with the scope of changing needs, some businesses inevitably request specific customizations that fit their own business needs. An out-of-the-box solution cannot always meet 100% satisfaction. In most cases, an out-of-the-box solution is only good as long as you’re a small or medium-sized business. But every business is eventually set to grow and scale. “I wish some fields offered more customization” When it comes to customizations, it is almost non-existent in Insightly when compared with Apptivo. The only way to customize Insightly is through custom APIs and it takes developer knowledge and consumes time and money. You’d be stuck with the app development team and you would also need a huge development force from your side to customize your application. “I would like it if we could create more customization. An example would be tabs or rearrange fields according to how the admin would like the layout.” “need more innovation/features/customization” Keeping all this in mind Apptivo offers you a completely customizable software solution. You can customize almost everything and the dashboard is completely customizable to fit individual user needs. 5. Ridiculously Expensive For the price, the Insightly is sold, they’ve made some serious compromises on values and features. Unless businesses have a very basic requirement, it's gonna be an uphill task to run just on Insightly CRM. With several alternatives out there, Insightly is going to have a hard time convincing the value it offers for the price. “Far too many features are missing and it seems like Insightly just isn’t in a hurry to make the necessary features available” Though their basic plans are moderately priced, the values they offer are not sufficient for any established or growing businesses to run just on Insightly. “Small business with limited funds. It is good functional software but the competitor was slightly better” When you decide to upgrade your plan, pricing gets as expensive as $99/user/month for very little value. This could dramatically increase the overall pricing of the software budget you’ve set. This is where Apptivo stands out from the rest of the other Customer Relationship Management solutions out there. Apptivo encourages businesses to pay for licenses solely for the employees who will be using the system. In addition to this, Apptivo also provides flexibility in pricing based on user volume. 6. Difficult Email Customization “Linking emails to customer/event records is time consuming. When I used this software there was a gmail plugin, so every time I got an email from a customer/prospect I would have to manually link it in order for it to be part of the records.” Insightly’s integration with Gmail is unreliable and requires frequent manual linking. With so many customers taking out the pent-up frustration about the so-called Gmail integration online, it all shows that is nothing but a marketing gimmick. “The email system is really poor with no hard integration just a forwarding system that doesn’t really cut the mustard” The objective of this integration is to get things done in one single place. But Insightly Gmail integration sometimes misses out on the new email or sends an awful lot of notifications about the new customer email. It’s either the two extreme ends and not ideal for any business. “Misleading – not easily integrated with Gmail.” “Does not easily integrate with Google as they so proudly advertise.” In addition to this, email integration cannot be automated to forward emails. It is just more work and that is exactly the opposite of what the integrations are supposed to do. Less work for the user. “It will not automatically forward emails.” Unlike Insightly, Apptivo can be integrated with Gmail and Outlook and can sync your email without any hiccups and none so ever.
