How do I Submit a Timesheet to a Customer?

Time sheets are an important part of a project delivery process.  The two main reasons why you need to maintain time sheets are the following.

  1. The time sheets gives an insight into how and where the resources are being allocated.
  2. Secondly, time sheets help you invoice the customers. Also its a proof that your invoicing for the work completed.
Using Apptivo CRM, you can create your own time sheet, and it can be submitted for the approval process, before taking it to the next step of being invoiced.

The time sheet that is created is submitted to the customer, enabling him to track the time duration of the tasks completed.

Following are the steps to send a timesheet to your customer. Have a look.

Steps to Submit Timesheet to your Customer

  1. Log in and access Timesheets App from your universal navigation menu bar.
  2. Select an existing timesheet or create a new timesheet.
    Note: Ensure that the timesheet is associated to a customer ("Customer" field is filled).
  3. Now, click on "Submit" button.

  4. The "Select Approver for this Timesheet" popup appears.
  5. Here, select the "Customer Project Manager" option. The email address of the customer will be displayed in the drop down list.

  6. Click on "Submit". The time sheet will be successfully submitted.
  7. The approver (customer) will now receive an email (time sheet) as shown:
