How to remove Assignment Alerts?

Business Settings allows you to disable or hide the Assignment Alerts Option from the account. This will entirely remove the Assignment Alerts option from the account. You could also provide the user access against this Assignment Alerts that who should have to view and manage the Assignment Alerts in their account among your employees or users.

Olive is the Manager of Escape Creations. Their business makes use of Apptivo to manage the database effectively. However, Olive doesn’t want all Employees to receive Assignment Alerts available in Apptivo. She makes use of the Privilege access feature to provide access to selective employees.

Steps to Hide Assignment Alerts

  • Log in to your account and click on the User Menu located at the top right corner of the header bar.
  • Click on the Business Settings from the listed option. You may also notice that the Assignment Alerts option is available here.

  • In the Business Settings page, Select Security → General Security from the left navigation panel.

  • In the General Security page, you can see the Assignment Alerts is enabled by default.

  • Click Assignment Alerts and Disable the toggle found at the right side under the User Menu option.

  • Once disabled, the Assignment Alerts option is not available in the User Menu.

Steps to Give Access Privilege to Assignment Alerts

  • Instead of removing complete access to Assignment Alerts option. You can also give restricted access. With Apptivo’s Privilege feature, you can grant access to selective employees based on the Privileges assigned to them.
  • Consider the Assignment Alerts option is disabled.
  • Click General Security from the left navigation panel. Click Assignment Alerts and "Enable" the toggle found at the right side Under the User Menu option.
  • Click General → Privilege dropdown. You can either choose from the existing list of privileges or create a new privilege.

Note: The Privileges to Employees are assigned from the Employees App of Apptivo. Based on the privilege granted, the employees can access the feature.

Choosing an Existing Privilege

  • An existing privilege, Feedback Privilege is chosen. Here, Peyton Daniel does not have this privilege. When she selects the User Menu, she cannot view the Assignment Alerts.

  • To create a new privilege, select Create Privilege from the Privilege dropdown of Assignment Alerts.

  • The Create Privilege popup will appear. Give a name and description for the privilege.

  • A new privilege is added to the Privilege dropdown. You can add this privilege to selective employees from the Employees App.
