Can I convert an Order status from Backorder to Booked?

Order status lists the orders based on Shipment status. To ship a backorder, you need to increase the units of the items using the Receiving app. Only then the backorders can be shipped. Manually the backorder status cannot be changed.

Steps to ship a Backorder

  • Log in and access the Orders App from your universal navigation menu bar.
  • Create a new backorder or select an existing order from the "backorder" status.
  • Create a receipt to increase its quantity in inventory.
  • You can find the status of the order changed from BackOrder to Booked.
    Note: The items are allotted for the orders based on the order creation date. Allotting items to the backorders manually is not possible.
  • Click on "Pick Release" and the status of the order will now automatically change to "Being Shipped"
  • Now scroll to the bottom of the order and you will see the Shipment Number. Click on the "SHIPMENT #" link.
  • This will take you to the Shipments App, where you can ship your order.
