How does usage tracking works in the Contracts App?

Avail smooth access of your Contracts with Apptivo. You can track the contracts associated with your Cases, Invoice or Projects easily using usage tracking. You can link the contracts associated with a particular project. The usage tracking feature is introduced to lessen your work.

Let us consider enabling usage tracking feature for the Projects App. You will find the process involved simple and hassle-free.

  • Go to SettingsContractsUsage Tracking. Here, enable the Usage tracking for the Projects App.

  • Now, navigate to the Projects App. Here, select Create to create a new project. In the Create Project Page, you have the feature to associate your contract with the Project.

  • Click the search icon in the Contracts Name to redirect to ‘Contracts: Search and Select’ page. Here, select the contract to be linked with the Project.

  • Once the Contract is chosen, values associated with the contract will be linked with the Project.

Note: You can change the name of the contract and the required attributes from the Master Layout in the Projects App.

Now, let us consider disabling the usage tracking feature for the Projects App.

  • Go to Settings → Contracts → Usage Tracking. Here, disable the Usage tracking for the Projects App.

  • Now, navigate to the Projects App. Here, select Create to create a new project.
  • In the Create Project Page, you can see the feature to associate your contract with the Project is not available.

  • This is because the tracking feature is disabled. Also, the contract feature remains hidden for the existing Projects as well.
