The Master Layout is common for all apps that helps you to customize the app with the custom field according to your business needs. Data Cleansing helps to clean and convert the data as per the business need.
Steps to configure Data Cleansing in Master Layout
- Log in and access the Contacts App from the Navigation Menu
- Click on the More icon (...) and select the Settings.
- From the left menu, click on Customize App and select Master Layout
- Now, you can see the Palette on the right side. Now, select the Attribute section.
- From the Attribute section, drag the Text attribute and drop in the section where you want to place it in the Master Layout.
- Now, click on the Text attribute in the Master Layout, it will then navigate to the Inspector tab. There you can edit the label name. For instance: Middle Name.
- Scroll down to Inspector Tab. Navigate to the Data Cleansing function.
- Enable the Toggle for Case Conversion. Then, you can get the data in the upper case, lower case, proper case, and sentence case. For instance: If you want the text values in the Proper Case, you can select the Lower Case in the Convert to option.
- Save the Changes, you can view the changes in Created Contacts Page.
- Enable the Toggle for Data type Rules. With the Data type rules, you can define the type of data. For instance: If you want to get the numeric data, select the data type as Numeric.
- Save the Changes, you can view the changes in Created Contacts Page.
- Enable the Toggle for Data Transformation, it will help you to cleanse the data. For Example, If you want to get the data values as abcd, if the typed value is ab, here you can add the possible data types and get the cleaned data on the saved page.
- You can view the changes in the Created Contacts Page.
