How to use Quick Actions in Projects?

Quick Actions in Apptivo help you to set the common actions of the Projects App in an easily accessible form. The actions added can be connected to the various apps and the actions related to that. Especially in the Projects app, it helps to create and connect an action of projects like Activities, Project Setup, and Communications. Quick Actions help you access these actions very quickly.

Let's consider, Miss. Sarah Castro has created the Projects and she wants to create the Quick actions for the Projects related to the tasks and the actions like Activities, Project setup. Please follow the steps of how she is creating the related tasks and the actions of the projects by using the Quick Actions from Projects.

Steps to use Quick Action

  • Login and access the Projects App from the Universal Menu.
  • Select the project from the list and click on the More Details.

  • In the Project Overview Page, you can view the Quick Action button.

  • To Add the New Task, click on the Quick Actions button and select the Activities → New Task.

  • By clicking the New Task, the Create Task Side panel will appear.
  • Add the Mandatory details and click on the Create button.

  • Your New Task will get created directly from the Quick Actions.
  • You can view the created task in the Gantt chart.

  • To Schedule Follow up, click on the Quick Actions button and select the Activities → Schedule Follow up.

  • By selecting the Schedule Follow Up, the schedule Follow Up popup will get open.
  • Add the Follow-up date and Reminder Time. Then click on the Create button.

  • To create the New Milestone, click on the Quick Actions button and select the Project Setup → New Milestone.

  • By Clicking the New Milestone, Create Milestone side panel will get appear.
  • Add the Mandatory Fields and click on the create button.

  • New Milestone will get created and you can view the created Milestone in the Milestone section at the bottom of the overview page.

  • To Create a New Requirement, click on the Quick Actions button and select the Project Setup → New Requirement.

  • By clicking the New Requirement, you can view the Create Requirements side panel.
  • Add the Mandatory fields and click on the create button.
Create Requirement
  • Your Requirments will get created and you can view the created Requirement under the scope Tab.
Requirement Created
  • To create the New Case, click on the Quick Actions button and select the Project Setup → New Case.

  • By clicking the New Case, you can view the Create case side panel.
  • Add the Mandatory fields and click on the create button.
Create Case
  • New Case will get created and you can view the created case under the Scope Tab.
Case Created
  • You can directly send a mail through Quick Actions.
  • Click on the Quick Actions and select the Communication → Email Employee Team.
Communication
  • By clicking on the Email Employee Team, you can view the compose email and here you can directly send a mail to all the employees related to the project.
Email Employee Team
  • You can send Mail directly to the Entire Team by clicking on the Quick Action → Communication → Entire Team.
Email Entire Team
  • By Selecting the Entire Team, the compose panel will get open with all the entire team mail id will be added in the To address.
