How to auto associate emails/other activities from Opportunities with linked contacts or customers?

Opportunities app of Apptivo allows you to automatically associate the emails or any other activities of other applications in the Opportunities app. Specifically, you can auto associate the linked contacts or customers in the emails while enabling the auto association activities.

Steps to Follow

  • Log into your Apptivo account and navigate to the Opportunities App.
  • Click on the More(...) icon and select Settings.
Opportunities

  • Once you are directed to the Settings page, go to Settings → Customize App → Master Layout.
Master Layout

  • On the Master Layout page, you can select any ref app field. It can be an already existing Ref App field or a custom created Ref App Field.
  • Click on it, you will be redirected to the Inspector tab.
Inspector Tab

  • In the Inspector tab, scroll down to the Collaboration Auto Association section. This section lists the activities available in Apptivo like Notes, Tasks, Event, Call Log, and Emails.
Auto Association

  • Enable the toggle for the activities with which the customer is to be associated in the Contacts App.
  • Here, the toggle is enabled for Email activity.
Emails

  • Similarly, enable the email auto association toggle for the Contacts reference field.
  • Save the changes.
Contacts

  • Create an opportunity in the Opportunities App of Apptivo and associate a customer and contacts to the opportunity.
Overview

  • Now, send an email from the Emails tab of the Opportunity. On selecting create, you can see the Customer and Contacts associated with the email automatically.
  • This doesn’t happen with other activities as the toggle is not enabled in the Master Layout of the Opportunities app.
