How to enable or disable a department in the Employees app of Apptivo?

The Employees app of Apptivo is an effective application to manage your employee database effortlessly. While recording the employee details, you can also add the department information of the employee. This can be configured from the Settings page of the Employees app. Here, you can enable or disable a particular department.

Steps to enable or disable a department

  • Log into your Apptivo account and navigate to the Employees app. Here, select More → Settings from the App Header.

  • On the Settings page, go to Employees → Departments from the left navigation menu.
  • Here, select the Department that you want to disable. Here, Administration.

  • You will be redirected to the Overview page of the department. Using the Is Enabled toggle, you can control the department.
  • If this toggle is enabled, then the selected department will be listed while adding the department information for an employee.
  • If this toggle is disabled, then the selected department will not be listed while adding the department information for an employee.

  • Here, we are disabling the toggle so that the particular department will remain hidden while adding the employee information.
  • Save the changes.

  • Now, the disabled department will not be listed while adding the department information for an employee.
